Maths and jobs at home...

Was great to see the boys hanging out the wash and girls swatting the flies all in the guise of ordering and identifying numbers to 10.

Block magic

Kristopher and Julianna were really keen to share their block creations today.  They spent a long time creating something that was very long and very tall.  This fits nicely with the measuring we've been doing in Class 20 this week.

Celebrating our week :)

All the students in Class 20 have been working really hard this week!  We've done some amazing learning in all areas and would like to share some of that with our readers!

Holly created an amazing picture of a giraffe, after seeing one on our trip to the Zoo in week 1 :)  Holly has only been at school 3 weeks!

Oalii did some amazing addition learning in maths :)

 

Phoenix made a terrific effort with reading the book "Going to the Beach".  Mrs Belt rewarded her with some stickers.  Here is her follow up activity :)

Number Pictures

Today in maths Francis was asked to show his teacher his understanding of number 5. He put 5 insects on to his 10 square, took a photo, re-sized it, saved it in Explain Everything, positioned the picture and then wrote the number 5 using his stylus! Good job Francis!

Ordering our Numbers

Today Rae Jae was working on putting the numbers 1 to 5 in the correct order using his iPad. He was able to independently record his learning to share.

Counting People

Today for maths we built houses and put some people inside our houses.  Then we told our friends how many people were inside our house.

Number 2

Casshius chose number 2 and counted out two beans so he could show his friends what two things looked like. Good work Casshius! Let's try doing number 3 next time!

Sharing our maths learning

We are using our iPads to take photos and share our learning.  Nature chose the number 7 and lined up seven of the people.  In her first photo we could not see the number on the number fan.  Nature thought about this and took the photo again so she could show the class the number she had chosen!  Great learning and sharing Nature!
