Welcome to Room 19's Blog for 2016. We are a Year 1 class at Pt England School, set in beautiful Point England, Auckland, New Zealand. This year we will be learning reading, writing and maths all on our iPads. Make sure you keep checking in with us and see how we are progressing throughout the year. Term 3 begins!

Crazy to think we are already in the second half of the year! We have a very exciting term ahead with our inquiry focus being the Rio Olympics. As a class we will be looking at all the habits of healthy athletes - healthy eating, drinking plenty of water, making sure we get lots of sleep and heading out to exercise. Today, we started exploring the different types of sports in the olympics and created some pictures of what we saw on our iPads. Ella and Perseus created some lovely pictures of the swimming race we watched!

    Hi Perseus and Ella. I really enjoyed your guys pictures that you have created. I hope you enjoy this term and would be looking forward for next term. The both of you have a lot of details in your drawings. The thing I really like out of the both of your drawing is how both of you drew characters and the theme of what they are doing for their sports. (:
