Our Blog

Welcome to Room 19's Blog for 2016. We are a Year 1 class at Pt England School, set in beautiful Point England, Auckland, New Zealand. This year we will be learning reading, writing and maths all on our iPads. Make sure you keep checking in with us and see how we are progressing throughout the year. Fun at Lloyd Elsmore

As part of our Game On integrated unit, today the whole of Team 1 took a trip to the Lloyd Elsmore track.  All our learners had an amazing experience and enjoyed activities such as:

  • Relay races
  • Sack races
  • Egg and spoon race
  • Sprints
  • Sock throw
Medals were awarded in some events.  Here are some of the winners from Class 20:


We were extremely lucky with the weather (although it was a little cold) and everyone enjoyed the bus trip and participating in the games.  Over the next few weeks in class we look forward to using these experiences in our classroom discussions and writing.  Check out some of the experiences here:
